Mission Statement
We are an accredited private Christian school which offers a classical education to home educators who aspire to excellence in scholarship and Christian faith, and accepts as its statement of faith the Nicene Creed and the Definition of Chalcedon.

Why 'Timothy'? The Biblical Timothy was raised by a Jewish mother and a Greek father. He spoke Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. He was home-educated (by his mother and his grandmother). He grew up to be useful to God and the Church. We, as the classical home educators, could ask for no better role-model for our students.

Classical Christian Education is
• an attitude which honours honest scholarship, history, great literature and the arts, and which understands mathematics and science as an insight into the mind of the Creator.
• a methodology based on the developmental stages of grammar (knowledge), dialectic (understanding), and rhetoric (wisdom).
• a curriculum which adds history, Latin, logic, and rhetoric (public speaking) to the basic school program, and presents all disciplines in light of Scripture.

Education at The Timothy Centre is Classical in that it
• emphasises the study of history, and introduces students to many of Western Civilisation's greatest literary works.
• follows the methods of ancient Greece and Rome, as modified in Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation Europe: the Trivium of grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric, applied to all the disciplines.
• teaches the specific 'classical' courses: Latin, Logic, and Rhetoric.

Education at the Timothy Centre is Christian in that it
• holds to the Scriptures and the finest of Christian scholarship in Chapel, classroom discussion, and standards of conduct.
• follows the method of Proverbs: the Biblical Trivium of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, applied to all the disciplines.
• expects parents to be their children's primary teachers in the fear of the Lord, the Scriptures, and Christian doctrine.

Students from every truly Christian church - those who are able to confess the Nicene Creed - are welcome at the school.

The Timothy Centre provides
• on site 'blended' program
• courses for high school credit
• enrichment courses
• registration for homeschoolers

The Timothy Centre expects
parental ownership of their primary responsibility for the spiritual growth and education of their children, with an emphasis on the integration of faith, scholarship, and life (see Genesis 18:19).

The Timothy Centre office is located at 1911 - 76 Avenue SE, Calgary, in the Riverview Christian Church.
