The following programs will be offered to all students
registered for the blended program:
Meeting on Mondays & Wednesdays:
Primary School
An integrated program including English, Math, Greenleaf History (Bible, Egypt) and Veritas History, Geography, Science,
and Physical Education (variety of activities).
Upper Elementary (grades 3 - 6)
• English:
- spelling (Spelling Workout)
- grammar (Shurley Method)
- public speaking (Progymnasmata)
- composition (Excellence in Writing)
- literature (children's classics)
• Math: Horizons, meeting goals of Alberta Program
• Science: Alberta program (Usborne Science Encyclopedia), with labs
• Latin: Latin for Children
• Greenleaf History and Veritas History: Greece, Rome, Middle Ages, Renaissance & Reformation
• Physical Education - variety of activities on and off campus, including Family Ski Week
Junior High School (grades 7 - 9)
• English:
- spelling (Spelling Workout or Vocabulary from Classical Roots)
- grammar (Our Mother Tongue)
- public speaking (Progymnasmata)
- logic (Introductory Logic and Intermediate Logic)
- composition (Excellence in Writing)
- literature (classics from/about current period in History)
• Math: Scott Foresman, meeting goals of Alberta Program
• Science: Exploring Creation series, and Alberta textbooks
• Latin: Jenney's First Year Latin, Jenney's Second Year Latin
• History: Canada; Western Civilization - a Brief History (by Spielvogel, chapters 1-12) and Introduction to the History of Christianity
• Physical Education - variety of activities
Senior High School (grades 10 - 12, for credit)
• Latin 10, 20, 30, Jenney's First Year Latin, Jenney's Second Year Latin
• History: Western Civilization - A Brief History (by Spielvogel, chapters 13-29) and Introduction to History of Christianity
• English 10, 20, 30
- Vocabulary from Classical Roots
- rhetoric and worldview (The Power of Persuasion, The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict)
- composition (Excellence in Writing)
- literature (classics from/about current period in History)
• Social Studies 10, 20, 30
• Physical Education 10, 20, 30 - variety of activities
• Pure/Applied Math 10, 20, 30, 31, Alberta textbooks
• Science 10, Biology 20/30, Chemistry 20/30, Physics 20/30, Exploring Creation series - including the advanced levels, adapted to meet goals of Alberta Program
Homework will be assigned for Tuesdays and Thursdays.
